Account & Data Deletion
This page explains how to request deletion of your Anyorum account and associated data.
How to Request Account Deletion
You can delete your account and associated data in either of the following ways:
Option 1: From the app (recommended)
- Open the Anyorum app on your device
- Go to Profile
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm twice when prompted
- Your account and associated data will be permanently deleted
Option 2: By email
If you cannot access the app, send an email to [email protected] with the subject "Account Deletion Request". Include the email address or username associated with your account. We will process your request within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days).
Data That Is Deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove or anonymize the following:
- Display name, username, email, and profile bio
- Social links
- Chat messages and channel activity
- Authentication tokens (Google/Apple OAuth are revoked)
Data That May Be Retained
For legal, security, or service continuity reasons, we may retain:
- Subscription records: If you had an active in-app subscription (through Google Play or App Store), the subscription provider (RevenueCat, Google, Apple) may retain records. This allows subscription restore if you create a new account with the same Google/Apple ID.
- Logs and backups: Server logs and backup copies may retain anonymized or hashed references for a limited period (typically up to 90 days) for security and troubleshooting.
Additional Retention Period
Active deletion of your personal data occurs promptly upon account deletion. Any residual data in logs or backups is removed within 90 days. Subscription-related records with third parties follow their respective retention policies.
